Adaptive Branding for a Street Food Intervention
This rapid-response event branding and food photography project translates the vibrant energy of the Le Tigre food truck into its brick-and-mortar sister location, Torafuku. Prompted by an unexpected mechanical breakdown of the food truck, the campaign establishes a clever, temporary lunch residency within the restaurant space. The resulting identity utilizes playful typography and high-contrast, macro food photography to invite patrons indoors, preserving the truck's cult-favorite street food culture within an elevated dining environment.
Visual Identity & Food Photography: The Temporary Parking identity embraces a bold, street-inspired graphic style that directly riffs on the food truck's temporary mobility issues. To balance this casual food-truck theme with Torafuku's polished interiors, the art direction relies on hyper-focused, brightly lit food photography to separate the lunch popup from Torafuku's renowned dinner service. Capturing vibrant shots of signature dishes like Kickass Rice, Gimme a Beet, and Finger Lickin’ Chicken bolstered the campaign's narrative. These editorial food assets were paired with sharp graphic accents to build immediate visual urgency, driving midday foot traffic and digital engagement across social media and third-party platforms.
